Tokyo 2021 Olympics: Men’s Football Teams | Groups | Fixtures | Schedule
Tokyo 2021 Olympics is around the corner and 16 teams including host nation Japan will be eyeing the gold medal. The men’s football tournament is set to be held from July 22 and will conclude on 7 August.
Hence, this article serves as a perfect guide for all the info you need related to the participating teams, schedule, fixtures, format for the men's football matches to be held at the Tokyo Olympics 2021.
Total 16 teams will clash for the gold medal and all of them are from six different continental confederations which have qualified for Tokyo 2020 Olympics. Each of them have been divided into four groups.
Only U-23 players will be allowed to play, with three overage players given an exception to play in their respective teams.
Venues for the Football Matches:
The men’s football tournament will take place across seven venues in six host cities - Kashima, Rifu, Saitama, Sapporo, Tokyo, and Yokohama. The final will be played at the Olympic Stadium in Tokyo on August 7.
