The Lakers are fifth but that still doesn't mean that they have performed well as per their standards. Injuries came at inappropriate times, and the absence of their big guns like Anthony Davis and LeBron James has been key in their deteriorating form.

However, the reigning Champions still racked up triumphs against Hornets, Nets, and Raptors in April. However, just then they went on a run of four games without a victory, exacerbating their chances to finish higher.

Anthony Davis is out due to a calf concern, Jared Dudley is sidelined due to a knee injury, while LeBron James has an ankle problem. Kyle Kuzma is out too, while Marc Gasol is struggling with his hamstring.
