Mason Mount has been warned by Chelsea, for playing football?
Mason Mount ignored self-isolation orders on Sunday and that has led Chelsea to warn their entire squad. Chelsea have reminded the squad of their responsibilities after Mason Mount was pictured playing football in public in a time where he should have been self-isolating amid the coronavirus pandemic.
The entire squad of Frank Lampard including his coaching staff and several backroom members were ordered to self-isolate after it was confirmed on Friday that Callum Hudson-Odoi, another youngster from the Blue’s squad had contracted coronavirus.
Hudson-Odoi, the 19-year-old was the first Premier League player to test positive for Covid-19. Mount was photographed playing five-a-side football with close friend and West ham midfielder Declan Rice on Sunday. However, West Ham United, unlike Chelsea, have not implemented the same isolation process.
The Premier League has been put on hold until April due to the pandemic and it is clearly visible that the youngster is missing football.
According to The Guardian, Mount was seen visiting a football centre near Barnet where he played football as mentioned above.
After the match between the Hammers and the Gunners, David Moyes and his assistants were also made to follow a procedure for seven days after coming into contact with Mikel Arteta, as the Arsenal boss tested positive for Covid-19 but thankfully, neither Moyes nor any staff showed any kind of symptoms.
Chelsea’s players will return to training on Sunday or thereafter and the club have reminded their squad that the cub’s decision has to be respected at any cost from now on and any other breach ahead would have strict consequences.
Chelsea are currently only three points ahead of Manchester United and with the kind of form the Red Devils are in at the moment, Lampard and company would give it all to avoid missing the Champions League.
