Daniil Medvedev, the 25-year-old Russian is currently ranked second in the world as per the ATP and that is his career highest. 

He has won thirteen ATP Tour singles titles, including the 2021 US Open and the 2020 ATP Finals. With the latter win, Medvedev became the first and only player to defeat the top 3 ranked players in the world en route to the year-end championship title. 

Daniil has played two matches in the league stage against Hubert Hurkacz and Alexander Zverev, defeating both of them 2-1 in sets. He will play Jannik Sinner who replaced the injured Matteo Berrettini. 

Jannik Sinner is an Italian professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 9 by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). At the 2020 French Open, he became the youngest quarterfinalist in the men's singles event since Novak Djokovic in 2006 and the first player born in the 2000s to break into the ATP top 10. 

He has won five ATP titles in singles and one in doubles and became the youngest ATP title-holder since 2008 by winning the 2020 Sofia Open and the youngest to have five titles since Djokovic in 2007. 

The young Italian was also the youngest ATP 500 champion since the category was created in 2009 by winning the 2021 Citi Open in Washington, D.C. and becoming the first teen to lift a trophy at this level.

 Jannik Sinner is making his debut in the Nitto Open and has replaced Matteo Berrettini who got injured in the 1st league match. 

Sinner defeated Hubert Hurkacz in the 2nd league match and will play Daniil Medvedev in the 3rd. He won't play the 1st as it was played by Matteo Berrettini.
