Sportco brings you in-depth head to head stats, preview, predicted lineups and score prediction for the massive clash.
Battle at the Bridge:
Michael Carrick last game as Man United interim manager is up on the cards against league leaders Chelsea. This could be a testing match for Carrick, which could cut it with the elite manager.
Manchester United have appointed new interim managers Ralf Rangnick under whose tutelage, Jurgen Klopp and Thomas Tuchel have worked before. He has been called the Godfather of modern coaching in Germany. The German has agreed to a six-month deal until May.
However, he will not be in charge of the game against the Blues. During his managerial career, he has managed 14 teams. Some big teams are Hannover, Schalke, Hoffenheim and RB Leipzig. He guided Leipzig from regional to the fourth tier, then Bundesliga.
While the Blues are on cloud nine, slamming goals after goals, they have netted 28 goals in their last ten games.
The return of Romelu Lukaku will strengthen their forward line as they will go up against one of the worst defence in the Premier League (averaging 1.78 xGA per game).
It is unlikely that the Red Devils will be able to keep Chelsea forward line at bay with Victor Lindelof and Eric Bailly marshalling the defence.

Chelsea vs Man United: Head-to-Head Prediction
Chelsea are far better side in this contest and will seriously test Manchester United fragile defence. The absence of Maguire and Varane will cause a cumbersome problem for Man United.
Although they were left into pieces when they faced Liverpool and Manchester City as they couldn’t manage to score a goal against either of those sides.
However, there are some positive signs this week when they defeated Villarreal. Carrick will have to use his tactical sage to outclass a dominant Chelsea. Though currently, the Blues holds the upper hand going into this fixture.
Prediction: Chelsea 2-0 Manchester United
