Arsenal preparing a move for former midfield maestro

Arsenal are considering a move for their former midfielder Aaron Ramsey if reports in England are to be believed. 

The Welshman moved to Juventus in the summer following his contract expiry with the Gunners but have had a troublesome first season for the Old Lady. 

Injuries have hampered the Welshman's progress since his move to Turin and the Gunners could move into setting up an emotional reunion. 

The midfielder joined the Serie A champions on a free transfer last summer after 11 long years at the Emirates Stadium. 

After penning a contract until 2023 worth around a whooping £400,000-a-week, the Welshman has struggled for opportunities to impress the Juventus manager Maurizio Sarri. 

He has been restricted to just 19 appearances, mostly from the bench, and has scored only twice during an injury-hit maiden season. 

And, it is believed that the Old Lady are open to the idea of selling the midfielder and register a profit on a player they signed for nothing. 

And, Arsenal are reportedly set to offer the former fan favourite a return to the club for which he won the FA Cup thrice. 

Despite his lack of game time under Sarri, the former Chelsea boss who is himself under pressure, recently defended the 29-year-old Welshman. 

Sarri said: "Aaron Ramsey is growing both as a condition and a belief. 

"It was not easy for him to adapt, coming from the Premier and from a bad injury." 

However, it is strongly reported in Italy that Juventus have already decided to cash in on the 60-cap Wales international. 

Having cost the club nothing, they know they could easily make a huge profit on Ramsey once the window re-opens. 

But having sold Emre Can last month, they will need to bring in reinforcements before offloading the dynamic midfielder. 

If Juventus indeed want to put Ramsey up for sale, Arsenal are surely going to face a lot of competition for getting their former player back to the club. 

It is claimed that Manchester United and Bayern Munich are also interested in the Welsh midfield maestro.
