How will Antonio Conte line-up at Tottenham Hotspur?
Tottenham Hotspur hit the rock bottom since the departure of Mauricio Pochettino. The club appointed three managers but couldn’t find any fruitful results under them, and had to sack all three in a span of three years.
They were in desperate need of a top-class manager before starting of the new season. Spurs were in talks with Antonio Conte in the summer but due to some dispute the talk collapsed and Tottenham appointed Nuno Espirito Santo as their new manager.
Under his tutelage, they started on a positive note but declined in subsequent games which led to the sacking of Nuno.
On Monday it was said Tottenham has called Antonio Conte to take over the reins of the club, and by Tuesday the deal was done, Antonio Conte was appointed new manager of Tottenham.
Signing an 18 months deal with an option to extend, and it looks like Tottenham have finally found their ideal manager who can take the club to new heights.
However, the pressure will be immense on Conte as he will have to change the structure of entire club and work on their weak point and use the system which best suits the players at Tottenham. It remains to be seen how Antonio Conte will line up Tottenham Hotspur.
Antonio Conte: Tottenham Possible Line-up
Antonio Conte is most likely to use the 3-5-2 system of play and Spurs are ideally suited to the three-at-the-back system. With Christian Romero who is already used to playing as a center-back in Serie A at Atlanta last season when Conte won the Scudetto with Inter.
So, Conte will be delighted to use Romero to its full potential at Spurs along with Eric Dier Davinson Sanchez. Joe Rodon will also have a role to play under Conte’s system.
All full-back positions, Ben Davies, Emerson Royal, Sergio Reguilon, Matt Doherty, and Ryan Sessegnon will most likely contribute when going forward, as Conte has a history of using full-backs as wingers and midfielders out wide.
Steven Bergwijn and Lucas Moura will be used as right-wingers under Conte. In Midfield it will be interesting to see how Conte will use Tanguy Ndombele and Giovani Lo Celso, who have played out of their position and couldn’t offer much in a double-pivot in front of a back four.
While Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg is likely to continue as a center-midfielder instead of Dele Alli who has been out of form.
Harry Winks and Oliver Skipp may have to fight for their spot under Conte, as he uses the players who excel in their preferred position, and Bryan Gil will have to adapt wherever Conte deploys him.
Up-front Conte has one of the most-deadly duos and he would want them to give their best in matches. Harry Kane and Heung-min Son have formed a successful partnership in Tottenham and should be able to deliver success of Conte's ‘LuLa’ attack at Inter.
Antonio Conte Tottenham's line-up will be exciting to see how the player will fit in and be able to execute Conte’s strategy on the field.
